Alexi Legal AI Pricing and Cost: Every Published Plan Since 2023, and Why It Is Quote Only Now
Alexi used to print its prices. Then it cut them three times and took the page down. Here is every plan it published, what the figures on directory sites really describe, and who should still book the call.

Alexi does not publish a price anymore. Its FAQ says pricing depends on firm size and deployment mode, and alexi.com/pricing has redirected to the homepage since late 2025. Before that, Alexi published four different lineups: memo bundles at 499 and 949 dollars a month in 2023, 299 and 499 in 2024, and a 99 dollar per user seat in 2025. Every Alexi figure you find on a directory today is one of those retired plans. The current product comes in two tiers, Core for firms of 11 to 25 lawyers and Advanced for 25 and up, and both are sold through a consultation. If you need focused US case law search rather than an enterprise platform, a published seat starts at 29 dollars a month. This is informational research, not legal advice.
How we checked this. On 18 September 2026 we requested alexi.com/pricing and got a 301 to the homepage. We then requested a path that never existed on the same host and got a clean 404, which tells us the redirect is deliberate rather than a wall shown to automated visitors. We read the Alexi FAQ, deployment page and consultation page the same day. For the history, we read four archived copies of the Alexi pricing page in the Internet Archive, dated October 2023, July 2024, February 2025 and April 2025, and the archive index showing the first redirect in November 2025. We quote those pages as they stood on those dates, not as current offers.

Read top to bottom, this table is a company changing what it sells. The unit moved from memos to instant memos to seats to deployments, and the price moved with it.

What the 2023 price really meant. At 499 dollars for five memos, each research memo cost about 100 dollars, and at 949 for ten it was about 95. That was a fair way to price a deliverable a junior associate might spend half a day on. It also explains why the model did not last: memo credits are hard to budget across a firm, and a seat price is easy to compare. The 2025 drop to 99 dollars per user was the lowest price on any version of the page we read. It lasted about a year on the public page.
What changed after that. By April 2025 the Enterprise card already described "private AI built exclusively for Big Law". By November the pricing page was gone, and today the homepage talks about a private, single-tenant engine that learns from your firm's own work. That is a different product for a different buyer, and enterprise products are priced in conversations.

Which Alexi price on page one is real
Search for Alexi pricing and the answers come from software directories, and most of them are not wrong so much as old. Here is each figure we found, dated against the version of the Alexi page it came from.

The practical point: if a colleague tells you Alexi costs 99 dollars a month, they are remembering early 2025, and if a directory says 499 for five memos, it is showing you 2023. Neither is a number you can budget against. The only current figure is the one sales will quote you, so get it in writing along with the seat minimum and term. Alexi does not tie a price to either tier, but it does say which firm sizes each one is meant for. That tells you most of what you need to know before the call.
Alexi Core (secure SaaS)
A shared, multi-tenant deployment Alexi describes as the place to prove value with AI across research and foundational workflows. Its own page says Core is commonly recommended for firms with 11 to 25 lawyers, early in AI adoption, with limited need for firm-wide standardization.

Every call to action on alexi.com, including Start Your Guided Trial, goes to a booking form. The form now lists a 1 to 10 lawyer option, but the same page describes the consultation as reserved for firms with 25 or more lawyers. A solo can apply; the product is not designed around them.

What sits inside both tiers is broader than research. Alexi lists research memo generation, drafting, summarization, intake, document extraction, email automation, knowledge search and precedent reuse, plus a library of prebuilt and no-code workflows. It holds SOC 2 certification, uses zero-data-retention models and supports private cloud deployment. For a firm with a DMS and a knowledge team, those are real reasons to take the meeting. For a lawyer who wants the controlling case in front of them in two minutes, most of it is capability you would pay for and not use.

The honest comparison for a small firm is not Alexi against Westlaw. It is Alexi's old 99 dollar seat against what is still published today. Credit where it is due: Alexi entered an independent benchmark that several better known vendors skipped, and it beat the lawyer baseline. Its own write-up leads with 79 percent single-jurisdiction accuracy, tied for the highest score. Both of these things are true at once: every AI tool in the study beat the lawyers, and on the weighted score Alexi finished fourth of the four, a point behind a tool that publishes 80 dollars a month. The benchmark tells you Alexi is competent at research. It does not tell you research is what an enterprise quote is paying for. The memos, workflows and private deployment are.

The part no quote covers
Whatever you buy, you still read the case
Damien Charlotin's database of court decisions involving AI-hallucinated material listed 2,041 cases when we checked it on 18 September 2026. Alexi's own announcement of its benchmark results cites the same trend as the reason independent testing matters, and it is right about that.
A private environment and a retrieval-first design reduce the risk. They do not move the duty. Under ABA Formal Opinion 512, issued 29 July 2024, the lawyer who signs the filing is responsible for every authority in it, whichever tool drafted the memo. Neither Alexi nor Cases is a citator, so whichever you use, confirm the case is still good law in KeyCite, Shepard's or your bar-provided service before it goes in a brief.

By November 2025 the page was gone. The company now sells two deployment tiers, Core and Advanced, through consultations aimed at firms of 11 lawyers and up.
Does Alexi have a free trial?
Alexi offers a guided trial, but you reach it through a consultation form rather than a signup button, and no trial length is published. Earlier versions of the pricing page offered a 14 day pilot in 2023 and 2024 and a 7 day trial with no credit card in 2025. If you need to test a tool this week without a sales call, that path has closed.

Yes. Alexi is headquartered in Toronto with an office at 575 Lexington Avenue in New York, and its FAQ states coverage of all legal jurisdictions across the United States and Canada. Its October 2025 benchmark results came from a study of 200 questions on US federal and state law.
Is Alexi worth it for a small law firm?
For most firms under 10 lawyers, probably not at enterprise pricing. Alexi is built around research memos, drafting and firm-wide workflows inside a private environment, which pays off with scale. If a small firm mainly needs to find and read on-point US case law, a published self-serve seat costs far less and can be bought today.
Does Alexi have a citator?
Alexi does not describe a citator on its own site. Its verification language is about grounding its own answers in retrieved authority, which is different from telling you a case has been overruled. For negative treatment you still need KeyCite, Shepard's, BCite or a bar-provided citator. We do not have one either.
How did Alexi score in the Vals legal research benchmark?
In the Vals legal research report of October 2025, Alexi scored 74 on the weighted score against a lawyer baseline of 69, behind Counsel Stack at 78, ChatGPT at 77 and Midpage at 75. On the accuracy column alone it scored 80 against 71 for lawyers. Alexi reports 79 percent single-jurisdiction accuracy, tied for highest.
